To mark the Formula 1 Madrid Grand Prix, at Diverevents we designed and produced two spectacular 4-metre-high inflatable figures, representing two Formula 1 drivers and created to become standout features in two of the circuit’s Fan Zones.
The project began with initial 3D designs, which we brought to life in the physical world, carefully refining every detail to achieve a faithful reproduction of the original renders. Proportions, shapes, racing suits, colours and finishes were meticulously developed to transform the digital concept into two large-scale pieces with outstanding visual impact.
The result was two striking figures designed to stand out in a high-exposure environment and become part of the fan experience throughout the Grand Prix. Safety was also a key consideration throughout the project, with each inflatable secured using more than 180 kg of ballast.
This project demonstrates how an idea initially conceived in 3D can evolve into a physical, memorable and shareable experience, combining creativity, design, technical production and entertainment for large-scale events.
At Diverevents, sustainability is also an important part of how we approach production. For this project, we developed the inflatables using more sustainable polyester materials, together with reusable wood and concrete ballast systems, reducing the environmental impact while maintaining the technical and safety requirements of the installation.
